Ordinary Level (O/L) Science paper in Sri Lanka- a national examination that is administered by the Department of Education. It is normally divided into two sections, Part I, which contains Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Part II, which contains structured essay-type questions. In the paper, the students are evaluated based on their knowledge of basic concepts of science in different subjects taught in Sinhalese, Tamil and English mediums. The exam is a test of knowledge, application and analysis skills in science and it is taken in order to prepare the students to make further academic progress. The 2023 paper can be obtained in PDF and downloaded free of charge through education websites and contains question formats that are similar to the past years, and which are in relation to the official syllabus and examination standards of the Sri Lankan education authorities.
